Festivities and Fun in Abundance at Homecoming

St. Andrew’s College came alive on Oct. 4 as students, families, Old Boys, and guests gathered for a spectacular Homecoming celebration. The campus was dressed in vibrant fall colours, setting the stage for a day filled with sports, school spirit, and fun.

Red and white spirit wear was everywhere as fans cheered on our Saints through a full slate of fall sports. The excitement was undeniable as the First Soccer team secured a win over Upper Canada College (UCC), First Volleyball triumphed against UCC in a thrilling match, and the entire school community rallied behind First Football for a victorious showdown against UCC.

The Quad buzzed with activity featuring inflatables, face painting, cotton candy, and plenty of smiles. The Parents Guild hosted another delicious bake sale in the Parents Guild Foyer, offering a variety of homemade and store-bought treats that delighted guests of all ages.

Students and visiting athletes enjoyed a lunchtime barbecue in the Amphitheatre while parents and Old Boys gathered for our traditional Homecoming lunch of chicken pot pie and shepherd’s pie in Cole Hall.

Shoppers were drawn to the vendor marketplace in Staunton Gallery, and a shuttle transported interested individuals to St. Anne’s School for a tour of Dunin House.

The Environment Council was on hand near the baseball diamond with shovels as they planted trees to add even more greenery to the campus.

Homecoming was more than a day of sports – it was a celebration of tradition, unity, and the unstoppable spirit of the Saints, made even more special by the support of our Cygnets and their families from across the road. Their presence and enthusiasm helped amplify the joy and pride felt throughout the day.
