In a momentous celebration on Sept. 5, St. Anne’s School marked the grand opening of its new campus on St. John’s Sideroad, just a kilometre from the St. Andrew’s College campus.
The SASSAW expedition to Ecuador was a huge success. Fifteen intrepid Grade 11 students spent 16 days in Ecuador, involved in service projects, learning about Ecuadorian culture, and climbing Cayambe, the highest point on the equator at 5,700 meters.
As Head Prefect, Will accepted one of the most challenging forms of leadership offered to Upper School students. As such, he helped set a positive tone for the student body.
Michael Kurp arrived at St. Andrew’s College in grade 8 and has revelled in all that is involved in student life from the start. “St. Andrew’s has really allowed me to discover myself. The diversity of activities and the many things to participate in and experience has helped me realize where my passions truly lie,” says Michael.
St. Andrew’s recognizes the important role leadership plays in the development of “the complete man, the well-rounded citizen" and Kevin has without a doubt embraced the role of leader.
Allen has attended St. Andrew’s since grade 9 and as he nears graduation, he looks back on his four years at the School and reflects on how much he has learned and grown.
Ben Schmidt ’17 attended St. Andrew’s for three years. He was a school Prefect, Master Warrant Officer in Cadets, Memorial House Captain, and a lead actor in school plays.
The 1st Soccer team went on the road again this weekend and dropped a pair of tight matches. These two non-league games were final preparations for their regular season opener at Homecoming on Saturday, Oct. 1.
