Community Scholarship Program

COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIPS FOR 2023 HAVE ALL BEEN AWARDED.

St. Andrew’s College is looking for tomorrow’s leaders – could that be you?

The Community Scholarship is an entrance scholarship open to day student applicants in York Region.  One merit-based scholarship is available in grades 5, 6, 7, and 9. Awards are set at $25,000, and are renewable through graduation, provided the student excels in all facets of the school’s mission.

This scholarship will be awarded to boys who demonstrate strong character; are respected members of their school community, sports, clubs, or associations; and are heavily involved in community service. Scholar status is not a requirement for this award; however, the student must be capable.

Students interested in this award must submit a completed SAC application and an essay. Essays are due by January 16th each year. Eligible candidates will be considered by the Community Scholarship committee. Based on the merit of their overall application and submitted essay, successful candidates will be notified by January 30th each year. Scholarships will be awarded regardless of financial need but candidates requiring assistance may be given priority.

Apply to St. Andrew's College today to compete for the Community Scholarship. Applicants who require financial assistance are encouraged to apply for a bursary, should they be unsuccessful in earning this award. A student bursary is granted through the College’s $3.1 million Financial Assistance program. To learn more about this program, please visit SAC FA Program.
