Chris Egi ’14 returned home on Jan. 19, delivering a reflective address on gratitude, growth, and the lifelong influence of community. “It feels so good to be home,” he began, as he greeted the full school in Ketchum Auditorium, noting it was his first visit back to campus since 2019. From the start, his remarks blended humour – jokingly apologizing to former coaches for “never letting them win a staff-student basketball game” – with reflections on identity and responsibility.
Grade 12 students in the McEwen Leadership program hosted the annual Entrepreneurship Fair in Staunton Gallery, presenting their original venture plans to staff, students, and a panel of guest judges. The event highlighted students’ creativity, strategic thinking, and confidence as they delivered polished business pitches and showcased interactive display booths.
Roy Thomson Hall once again sparkled with holiday spirit as St. Andrew’s College hosted its annual An Andrean Christmas concert, a cherished tradition that brings the community together in celebration of the season.
On the northwest corner of St. Andrew’s College lies Willow Farm, the home to one of the best-kept secrets of the #142 SAC Highland Cadet Corps: the SAC Marksmanship team. From its roots at the indoor range in the basement of Coulter Hall decades ago, the team continues this long-standing tradition with greater competitiveness and spirit than ever.
Movember has wrapped up, and the SAC team of Mo Bros has bid farewell to the mustaches they proudly grew throughout November in support of men’s health.
St. Andrew’s College reaffirmed its commitment to creating a society free from gender-based violence during this year’s White Ribbon Week. Students and staff pledged to “never commit, condone, or remain silent about violence against women,” joining a global movement dedicated to ending gender-based discrimination.
