The AP Capstone program serves well-rounded, curious, and highly motivated students who wish to be challenged by the highest level of interdisciplinary studies. Therefore, the program is restricted to qualified students.

In order to be considered for the program, students will go through a candidate evaluation. Students must submit a blind writing sample and participate in a round table where they will discuss pre-distributed materials with other candidates. This will determine the student’s ability to engage with presented materials and converse with their peers as they would in a university setting. Students will be notified of their acceptance in due course.

For students entering the School in their grade 11 year, expressions of interest should be made through the Admission Office. Interested students must ensure that their admission file includes their most recent student records, teacher references, and notice of any academic awards or honours. The AP Capstone Selection Committee will review the candidate's file, require a writing sample produced on-site, and determine suitability. A student may be required to enter the program on probationary terms.
