ST. ANDREW'S EXPECTATIONS FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE

  1. As a diploma requirement, all Upper School students must complete a minimum of 40 hours of community service. In order to qualify for the Andrean Diploma with Honour, 30 of the 40 volunteer hours must have taken place off-campus.
  2. Upper School students from out-of-province must complete 10 hours of community service for every year they attend school in Ontario.
  3. All Middle School students are expected to complete a minimum of 15 hours of community service by the end of Grade 8.
  4. Students, in collaboration with their parents and advisors, will decide how they will fulfill the community service requirement. A plan for completion of volunteer work must be filed with the advisor on a yearly basis.
  5. Students will maintain a record of their volunteer activities using the printable recording sheet available on the Home page of this website.  It should be filled out completely and submitted to the Community Service Coordinator only after the student inputs the information on the CS app on Edsby.
